Dr. Colter Wichern is an interventional cardiologist with a strong commitment to delivering comprehensive cardiovascular care to diverse patient populations. Dr. Wichern is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Eligible for Cardiology. He earned his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), where he also completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Prior to medical training, Dr. Wichern completed a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Health, cultivating a deep understanding of human physiology and performance that continues to inform his approach to cardiovascular health.
Driven by a passion for helping patients achieve their optimal wellbeing, Dr. Wichern combines advanced interventional techniques with a personalized, multidisciplinary care model. His clinical interests span complex coronary interventions, cardiogenic shock, sports cardiology, renal denervation for the treatment of resistant hypertension, and longitudinal cardiac care. He is dedicated to empowering patients to lead active, fulfilling lives through evidence-based treatment and prevention strategies.
In his free time, Dr. Wichern enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their two young children. He and his young family are looking forward joining the Eugene-Springfield community and continuing to enjoy all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
