Dr. Akil A. Sherif recently joined the McKenzie Heart Group, bringing with him a commitment to patient-centered care. Dr. Sherif graduated from the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, School of Medicine in Kochi, India before moving to the United States to pursue a Cardiovascular Research Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. He then went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine followed by a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at St Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts.
